United States: Cans with images of Tim Walz, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Antifa, and “MAGA tears” are being sold by a Wisconsin-based beer firm in the Chicago, Illinois, area.
On its About page, the Wisconsin-based Minocqua Brewing Company states that the company’s political inclinations began because the “restaurant industry suffered unnecessarily by having to limit [sic] capacity longer than necessary and the Trump administration failed to have a national plan to slow down contagion.”
The website states that the proprietor “aired his frustrations by hanging a huge ‘Joe Biden for President’ sign on his wall after having to lay off his entire restaurant staff,” according to reports.
According to the company’s website, Kirk Bangstad decided that “alienated many conservatives in his area but endeared him to progressives around the country,” leading him to sell “#ProgressiveBeer.”
The first drink in the range featured Biden on a can. The beer is intended to encourage Democratic voter turnout, and a percentage of the company’s sales support organizations that advocate for abortion rights.
In addition to the brewery, Bangstad founded the Minocqua Brewing Company SuperPAC, which aims to unseat GOP state and federal lawmakers under the banner of “Dark Money Meant for Good.”
One store in the Chicago region with an abundance of #ProgressiveBeer is Rogers Park Provision. The store’s Facebook page features posts on the Minocqua Brewing Company’s beer line.
In one of its most recent posts, the Chicago-based liquor store Rogers Park Provisions stated that it was beginning to fill up with all its customers’ “favorites,” as reported.
“Just a little restock of your favorites this past week! More to come!! Looking for things to pair? We’re expecting cheese, meats, and crackers to drop this week! Stock up, and let’s enjoy this last little bit of summer heat!” and added hashtags, including “#ProgressiveBeer.”
