United States: A mother from North Carolina lost her 7-year-old son to Hurricane Helene, and her story went viral after she described how he cried out to Jesus as he was being swept away.
Since Helene took the lives of Megan Drye’s parents and her son Micah, her entire life has abruptly changed. She and her living sister discussed the legacy her young baby left behind in an emotional interview with FOX Weather.
“I’m so proud of my son because in his last moments, he wasn’t screaming for me,” Drye cried as her sister wept next to her.
“He was screaming ‘Jesus…Jesus, save me! Jesus, I hear you! Jesus, I’m calling upon you!’’
In honor of her son, who had stated that his life’s ambition was “to be a superhero,” Drye donned one of his superhero T-shirts during the interview.
“Instead, he’s my hero because he reached for something past flesh, past human… past anything that even grown adults, I think, would reach for,” she continued, according to the reports.
“I thought we were okay still until the house broke apart and until everything started to collapse,” she told Fox.
When Drye and her family fled to the top of their flooded house, they first believed they had reached their “safe point” from the hurricane’s surge.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better son,” she cried.
In Drye’s opinion, Micah was saved by his last prayers to “the one God Almighty,” who he credits with “carrying” her “through that moment.”
“And he was so happy up until the very end when he was screaming for Jesus. And in that moment, I think he found joy,” she praised her son as one of the anchors began to break down, sobbing.
However, Vice President Kamala Harris believes that just $750 will be enough to ease her anguish from the storm that Biden doesn’t even remember.
The tragedy stories from the hurricane are multiplying, and so is the Biden/Harris administration’s lack of concern, as per reports.
Given that FEMA has acknowledged they are too broke to help future hurricane victims of this year’s $650 million on illegal aliens, we can regretfully expect more families to be destroyed by catastrophes in the future.
There are still 75,000 people without power in North Carolina as the death toll from Hurricane Helene continues to rise, now to at least 232 people.
