United States: President Trump narrowly survived yet another assassination attempt after a sniper with a scoped AK-47 rifle got within a few hundred yards of him as he played golf at his West Palm Beach, Florida club.
As Trump was playing golf at Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach, a Secret Service member opened fire on the individual, forcing him to run.
Following an I-95 traffic check, the man, who is in his 50s, was taken to jail by the West Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
After what appeared to be an attempt on his life, Trump released a furious response. He informed supporters in a campaign alert that he was unharmed, saying, “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL.”
Law enforcement sources informed the Post that the suspect is a white male in his 50s, considered a native of Hawaii. An assault rifle—previously believed to be an AK-47—was found at the scene.
According to sources, the suspect was carrying a GoPro camera when he was arrested, which prompted investigators to look into whether he intended to record himself carrying out the shooting.
Although sources close to The Post claim the suspect frequently posted pro-Taiwanese and pro-Ukrainian content on social media, the Secret Service stated they have not yet identified a motivation.
The former President played golf at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach at 2:00 pm on Sunday.
The sources told The Post that the gunman was seen by an advance squad six holes ahead of Trump.
Shortly after an unnerving security incident at one of the former President’s golf properties where a guy was brought into custody with a high-powered rifle, Trump sent out an “alert” statement to fans to let them know he was safe.
“I wanted to let you know right away that I am safe and well before rumors start to go out of control, even though there were gunshots nearby.” On Sunday, he wrote.
An agent started firing and fired again.
“President Trump is safe despite gunshots nearby.” On Sunday afternoon, Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, stated, “There are no additional details at this time.”
It occurred about two months after Thomas Matthew Crooks shot and injured Trump’s ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
Moments after the shooting, Sen. Lindsey Graham took to X to commend the former President for his resiliency.

The West Palm Beach course is about five miles inland from Mar-a-Lago, which Trump called the “Winter White House. ”
The Secret Service, which was heavily criticized after the failed assassination attempt in July, stated on X that it was looking into a “protective incident” that involved the former President and happened just before 2:00 pm
The Secret Service stated it is working on the investigation with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
According to early reports, there appeared to be two shooters. Sources, however, claimed that investigators now thought the Secret Service agent was the lone gunman.
We do not yet know the man’s intentions. The sheriff’s officials from Palm Beach County have taken him into custody.
Police recovered a backpack, a gun, and a GoPro after shots were fired near Trump Golf Course while Trump was playing golf. CNN reported that the shots were intended for Trump. Gopro suggests the sh**ter wanted to film it.
