United States: The mainstream media’s lack of coverage of a recent ICE report that showed over 420,000 illegal aliens with criminal convictions are still living in the country without restriction.
According to the research, which was made public last week, more than 62,000 people with criminal convictions for assault, more than 13,000 for homicide, and more than 15,000 for sexual assault are among the convicted illegal immigrants, according to reports.
Not a single one of these people is being detained.
Even with the seriousness of these findings, mainstream media sources have mostly disregarded the report. During The Five, Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld acknowledged his shock, saying, “This story is so unbelievable I wanted to see if it was reported elsewhere.”
He added, “It wasn’t available on CNN, MSNBC, or Drudge. Hundreds of thousands of foreign offenders have been released as if the cells were empty. Nothing concerning what is likely the largest criminal story I’ve ever seen can be found on the pages of all these networks, despite thousands of rapists and thousands of killers,” as per reports.
Fox News reported that ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News did not broadcast the issue during primetime, making NBC Nightly News the sole major network to report on ICE’s findings.
Instead, Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent visit to the border, where she interacted with Border Patrol officials, has received considerable media attention.
The Border Patrol Union referred to the trip as a “photo op” amid the ongoing immigration issue that has been made worse by the Biden-Harris administration. The trip has drawn heavy criticism.
